Meet Christina
Christina Delisio moved to Massachusetts with her family during the Blizzard of 1978 — arriving with the same resilience and determination that would come to shape her life and career. She was raised in a household devoted to public service: her father worked for the federal Department of Health and Human Services, and her mother was a nurse. From an early age, Christina learned the value of service, responsibility, and looking out for others.
As the oldest of four children, she understood the importance of opportunity and affordability. Christina attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell because it was what her family could afford, earning a degree in Political Science and History. Inspired by her family’s background in health and public safety, she began her career in environmental consulting — initially testing for lead-based paint. Her work expanded into asbestos, indoor air quality, and environmental site assessments, and her technical expertise led her to train inspectors nationwide as a subcontractor for OSHA and the EPA. She later worked for national environmental consulting firms, gaining firsthand experience with regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and environmental protection.
Driven to serve in a new way, Christina attended New England Law | Boston, earning her Juris Doctor while raising three young children — whom she affectionately referred to as her “1L, 2L, and 3L.” After law school, her family relocated several times to support her husband’s career, living in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Maryland. During those years, Christina focused on raising their children before returning to legal practice once they were school-aged. She practiced law in Maryland handling matters involving liability, property damage, and litigation, and remains a member of the Maryland Bar.
In 2014, Christina and her family returned home to Massachusetts and settled in Manchester. All three of her children attended Manchester Essex schools, with her youngest graduating from Pingree School as a recruited athlete. When she saw the Manchester Essex Booster Club struggling, Christina stepped up — revitalizing the organization, expanding support for student-athletes, and ensuring scholarships and resources not covered by the school budget.
Her community involvement led to her appointment to the Manchester Planning Board, where she later won two successful re-elections and served as Vice Chair. On the Planning Board, Christina led community outreach efforts, modernized zoning codes, and helped guide thoughtful local policy decisions that reflect both resident input and long-term planning.
Christina Delisio is running for State Representative because she believes government works best when it listens, plans responsibly, and respects local voices and local choices. With a background spanning environmental protection, law, education, and local government, she brings real-world experience, steady leadership, and a lifelong commitment to public service.
